Children learning together

Learning - Education Programs

Empowering Indigenous communities through culturally grounded, sustainable education that breaks cycles of poverty and builds futures of opportunity.

Preschool

EnLevo's preschool program is a locally led early childhood education model for Indigenous communities in Guatemala, where children and illiterate mothers learn side by side. Instruction begins in their indigenous language, building understanding, and confidence for both generations, then gradually introduces their national language to prepare children for formal schooling.

By teaching families first in a language they understand, the program removes a major barrier to learning, extends education into the home, and helps break cycles of generational poverty. The preschool program is built around consistent, repeatable learning routines.

Dual-Generation Impact

Dual-Generation Impact

Mothers learn alongside their children, extending literacy into the home.

Together, these elements create a powerful, lasting impact. Children begin primary school prepared and confident, while mothers become involved in their children's education, helping break cycles of generational illiteracy.

Through this scalable model, EnLevo is building resilient families and strengthening communities, while creating a framework that can expand to other locations and indigenous languages. The result is not just school readiness, but a foundation for lifelong learning and opportunity that can grow across cultures and countries.

Remote Learning Platform

Remote Learning Platform

The EnLevo remote learning platform brings quality education directly to Indigenous communities that have long faced barriers to access. Lessons are flexible, support Indigenous languages, and are designed to ensure full understanding.

Content includes literacy, numeracy, vocational learning, and practical life skills, all delivered through culturally relevant stories and visuals. The platform functions fully offline, allowing learning to continue regardless of internet availability or infrastructure, with learning data and updates transferred regularly so student progress can be reviewed and supported.

A key reason this approach works is accessibility. Even when an internet signal exists, the cost of data often makes online learning unrealistic. EnLevo removes the need for constant or expensive internet access while still enabling progress to be recorded and shared.

Local facilitators use the platform to guide instruction and track outcomes, expanding educational access, improving learning results, and helping break cycles of generational illiteracy by placing sustainable learning tools directly in the hands of the community.
